The goals of the Canada Bangladesh Muslim Society (CBMS), a non-political, nonprofit, and charitable organization, are to promote humanitarian work through greater understanding, mutual respect, tolerance, and cooperation amongst Canadians of diverse religious, cultural, social, and multi-faith groups in Canada. Through promotion and sponsorship, CBMS shall focus on the following types of activities:
- To advance education by providing publicly available scholarships, bursaries, and other forms of financial assistance to orphan students to be used for secondary and post secondary education.
- To relieve poverty in remote areas of Bangladesh by providing individuals and families in need with access to clean drinking water.
- To undertake activities ancillary and incidental to the attainment of the aforementioned charitable purposes.
Purpose & Objective
The purpose of the organization is exclusively charitable. The organization shall expend its income and resources for the purpose of furthering, promoting, sponsoring and/or implementing activities and programs for the aforementioned charitable causes.
The objective of the Organization is to raise funds for furthering its stated purpose.
Volunteer
Help CBMS plan, organize, and host its many events throughout the year. Gain volunteer hours for high schoolers. Help a charitable cause!
Donate
Donations go towards orphan scholarships, initiatives in Bangladesh, and running our events. “Those who spend in charity will be richly rewarded.” [Quran 75:10]
