On 4 December 2025, the Canada Bangladesh Muslim Society (CBMS) presented a cheque for $2,000 to Mandy Arsenault, Community Engagement Officer at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO). Mustafa Chowdhury, President of CBMS, Sanjeda Ahmed, General Secretary, and Mohammad Iqbal, board member, presented the cheque. As per CBMS’s policy, CBMS remains committed to donating a portion of the funds it raises each year to CHEO.

CHEO profusely thanked CBMS for the donation and observed, “that it is always inspiring to see the community come together for a cause, and that community fundraising is vital to helping us fill the critical gaps in care and support. You are also helping the teams at CHEO and the CHEO Research Institute to move toward essential discoveries while caring for patients today.” Arsenault ended her note of thanks by saying: “Your generosity is building a sense of togetherness that is more important than ever as we come to understand how much we rely on each other entirely.”
