On January 7, 2025, the Canada Bangladesh Muslim Society (CBMS), in conjunction with SUROVI, held its Orphan Students Scholarship Program’s distribution ceremony at SUROVI’s Dhaka-based premises in Dhanmondi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Alhamdulillah, with the money (sadaqah and Zakat) you have donated in 2024, CBMS could award scholarships to 110 orphan students who are studying in different schools across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mustafa Chowdhury, CBMS President, was present along with Ali Idris, Syed Akhter Yousuf and Nazir Ahmed Bepari.
Abu Taher, SUROVI’s Executive Director, made elaborate arrangements for the program in which about 200 people participated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The distribution ceremony consisted of speeches from representatives of CBMS and SUROVI. Some students of Surovi\u2019s own school did a short cultural performance.
Some students narrated their experiences, spoke confidently, revealing their determination to continue their studies with the financial help received from CBMS.
